The Limestone Pavement Action Group is funded by the RMC Environment
Fund and the Countryside Agency. English Nature jointly manages the project,
and Cumbria Wildlife Trust hosts the project officer.

Established in November 1998, the RMC Environment
Fund is a grant-giving fund which passes over approximately £3
million of funding per annum to environmental and community based
projects through the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme. The Fund is managed
by The Environment Council and supported by RMC Group plc. (Website

The Countryside Agency is the statutory body working to make
life better for people in the countryside and improve the quality
of the countryside for everyone. The Countryside Agency is the lead
agency for the Limestone Pavement Habitat Action Plan (Website address

of wildlife and geology through England. The Cumbrian office of

Cumbria Wildlife Trust hosts the Limestone Pavement Action Group
Officer. Cumbria Wildlife Trust is a registered charity established
in 1962. Supported by over 7,000 members, it works in partnership
with landowners, local authorities, other conservation organisations
and businesses to conserve and protect wildlife and wild places
throughout Cumbria. Cumbria Wildlife Trust cares for over 40 nature
reserves, which include peat bogs, limestone pavements, ancient
